NOTE: It is probably better to listen to this video than watch as it's a "talking head" video and the camera doesn't switch to his presentation slides.

Cutty Rank's Limb by Limb is probably the rawest toughest song ever made. Dubstep, dancehall, jungle, rap, and drum and bass artists have all referenced it numerous times. If it would just get used in a Toyota Camry commercial it just might become the vocal counterpart to the "Amen Break". (Actually, check the DJ SS version of the song and you'll get both!) Nobody buying a Camry would know he's saying "Pick ya coffin And your burial spot. Tell no see I and I me coming down hot." Hit up the youtube page directly if you want to check the full lyrics. Luuiiggiis has written them in just below the video. They're 90% right. I love the little pitched up fill in vocal stabs in this track. Squiggy never sounded so tough! Same ting dead.

Really enjoying LMGM's impeccable selections in his first mix! Hit up his blog for the track list. Luis is one of the smartest and most interesting people I know. I'm really psyched he's making mixes!

It's too bad cheerleading is relegated to a few young nimble overly-smiley persons busting a move on the sidelines. Spectator sports would be so much cooler if everybody in the crowd rooted for their team by trying to do this stuff in the stands.

M.I.A.'s Born Free video, directed by Romain Gavras who also did Justice's Stress video, is bound to create a stir. The storyline isn't particularly deep, but some of the peripheral questions it digs up might be. Or... maybe you'll just hate it.

If you have small kids, are in an old folks home, or are around other easily excitable/confused types, you might want to watch this later.

A really nice tightly executed uptempo set - just what you'd expect from Rob Hood.
